Jeni from In Color Order checking in! :) Last month I made a big move from Ohio to Wisconsin and I will admit, I had to let go of a big chunk of my Pyrex collection. I had been collecting pieces that I really didn't like that well but had found for a good price. I had a lot of unfinished sets, duplicates and damaged pieces. It felt really good to unload some of it, especially since it went to a new collector! Even though I let a lot go, I've still been picking up a few pieces here and there. I am happy to say I recently completed two sets I really love, one of them today!
Finally finished my New Dots set! I have had the middle two bowls for a while, but when I was recently gifted the green bowl (thanks to a flickr friend!!), I had to finish it up! Found someone selling two orange bowls in the same listing, and jumped! It just so happened to be cheaper than buying any single bowl AND, my friend needs the orange one too!
Was happy to find this partial Verde bowl set at the thrift on labor day for $5! I was in need of a bowl set to actually use as everyday bowls. The goofy thing is, I had the 404, but got rid of it before I moved! Oh well!
One of my very favorite sets that I completed right before the move! I thought I'd never find that 502! :)
My favorite color of Pyrex is by far turquoise, so I was freaking out when a flickr friend surprised me with this piece! Love it so much!
Happy Pyrexing! :)
I need to make some flickr friends! lol. Beautiful. :)
ReplyDeleteI am with you on that last piece! Love it!
ReplyDeleteHey Jeni,
ReplyDeleteSo nice to have you back. Hope you're settling in. I love your pieces. It would be worth losing some lesser pieces in exchange for such beauties.

I love that turquoise piece!
ReplyDeleteWow, nice bunch of pyrex. Oh, and welcome to Wisconsin :).
ReplyDeleteWow. That *is* a generous flickr friend. One of those turquoise casseroles is going for $75 on Ebay right now (I've been watching it because I'm in love with the pattern)
ReplyDeleteOh oh oh I'm so in love with (and totally green-eyed and jealous) your New Dots! I'm pleased as punch with my lone little yellow dots but someday I hope to have them all! Bravo! ;)
ReplyDeleteDon't you just love the refrigerator containers? I have several sets in clear glass and I use them all. I love your decorated one and that turquoise is wonderful! Dianne
ReplyDeleteI've been eyeing a blue dotty bowl just like yours at my antique store but I don't know what a good deal is on one!
ReplyDeletesooooo good!!

Congrats on completing your Dots set!! I'd give almost anything to find some Dots bowls (I only have the yellow one)! I really love your Starburst dish!! When I was growing up, I had a set of sheets in the same pattern as the fabric behind your Starburst!! :) Wish I'd save them!
