Homestead pattern

I bought these babies at one of the many Goodwills in my city!
You can read about my pricing rant on these bowls and Goodwill in general here!

  1. The price gouging on Pyrex in the thrift stores is happening everywhere. I even heard that the majority of the Pyrex is heading straight to the Goodwill online site. I see crazy prices on it around my area but have NEVER seen the prices that you found those Homestead bowls at. I don't even think my local antique malls would have the guts to price them that high.

I tried to post this comment on your blog but the word verification was all wonky.

    1. This same place that had the homesteads also had an Old Orchard 401 for 5.49 but since I have a few of those, I left it behind. I have never paid that much though because I always get the nicest cashiers who hook me up.

I think the most I have seen was 19.88 for two cinderella bowls, 441 & 442 Butterfly Gold.

(Thanks for letting me know about the word verification. I took it off.)

  2. These are nice, but their original prices were completely outrageous.

    1. They were. I'm just happy the cashier understood my pain and gave me a much nicer deal for them.

  3. Awesome! I have a set of three of these (w/o the handles). From my wedding shower oh-so-many years ago. Thanks for the memories! (Visiting from Jenny Matlock's blog)- Tammy

  4. Wow- those prices are truly outrageous. I shop at Value Village here and just the other weekend I saw a complete set of 4 Wooldand nesting cinderellas, in perfect condition, for 14,00$. But, it's woodland so I was not interested, lol. Sorry about the pricing in your neighbourhood, that's just kooky.
