Just posted over at
sixballoons.blogspot.com about my small town thrifting adventures...
I left behind Pyrex mugs in Woodland and Spring Blossom, and a snowflake garland salt shaker... Hope nobody is looking for those to add to their collection! Also, I saw a brass cradle with two candles for warming but couldn't tell if they were for Pyrex. Does anyone know if they are marked somewhere with Pyrex, or what I can look for other than trying to eyeball if they would fit a certain dish or casserole?
From what I've found in terms of Pyrex cradles, there are no marking on them. I have managed to find some homeless ones that ending up actually being for my Pyrex...usually I look for the brassy color...then at the handles (most common Pyrex seem to been wooden or plastic)...then eyeball the shape. Thus far, if a cradle hits all three of those points, it has turned out to be Pyrex for me. Good Luck! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Cally, the one i saw was two bucks and hit all those marks but the shape just didnt seem to fit any pyrex pieces.... Do you think corning cradles were similar?
ReplyDeleteThanks, Cally, for stopping by my blog and commenting on my button post!
ReplyDeleteI am so excited to find your blog about Pyrex dishes. I have two pieces, Gooseberry in black and white. Iam trying very hard to refrain from starting a new collection but I see that it may not work. After seeing all your beautiful pieces, I'm going to be looking for more.
