A Unique Use For Pyrex

Last week my family and I were at the Bolsa Chica Reserve to do some bird watching. The interpretive center has a small display of local wildlife and what did I find?
A king snake in a Desert Dawn cake pan! His neighbor had an opal Anchor Hocking cake pan for its digs; I couldn't help thinking that this guy got the better deal.

  2. I think that's hilarious. Wonder if the dish is available for trade?

  3. ....and that picture is exactly the reason why everything I buy at the thrifts gets soaked in super hot water with dishsoap and scoured with Cerama-Bryte........

  6. That is by far the most unusual Pyrex use of all! I never would have thought of that in a million years!

  7. That is hilarious. You should post it in the Pyrex in use Flickr group! I actually just picked up that very cake pan (sans snake, thank god) and was going to post about it.

Even snakes have good taste in vintage kitchenware.
