Last week my family and I were at the Bolsa Chica Reserve to do some bird watching. The interpretive center has a small display of local wildlife and what did I find?
A king snake in a Desert Dawn cake pan! His neighbor had an opal Anchor Hocking cake pan for its digs; I couldn't help thinking that this guy got the better deal.
Oh my goodness - you never know where Pyrex might turn up!!!
ReplyDeleteI think that's hilarious. Wonder if the dish is available for trade?

ReplyDeletewow, that it is a first! and yes, I do agree with Lynn - you never know!
ReplyDeletelol yukie...don't like snakes at all...but ya never know where Pyrex can work...o my
ReplyDeleteThat is by far the most unusual Pyrex use of all! I never would have thought of that in a million years!
ReplyDeleteThat is hilarious. You should post it in the Pyrex in use Flickr group! I actually just picked up that very cake pan (sans snake, thank god) and was going to post about it.
ReplyDeleteEven snakes have good taste in vintage kitchenware.
Now that is a 'use' that will make the books!
ReplyDeleteYour newest follower :) What a great post....I will laugh whenever I open my cupboard....and yes I will now clean my thrift store finds more carefully!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful find! Glad you got a snap of it to share.
