Hi, Pyrex collectors!
I've been thinking a long time about writing a book about Pyrex — I'm the author of two craft business guides and I recently became a full-time freelance writer and editor, which has given me a lot more time to work on passion projects like this one. I've got an agent interested in the project, but I'm still in the early stages of putting together a proposal.
The book is envisioned as a beautiful, photography-heavy project, with history, patterns, stories of collectors and pictures of Pyrex in action. I'm hoping to photograph the best and biggest collections in North America! If you'd like to possibly take part, please take this short survey! There's no obligation — this is kind of a fact-finding mission at this point. :)

Please do! We need a GOOD guide. I have two, and they both are nice but have a lot of holes. :)
ReplyDeleteI must say that is pretty neat. We need a good guide on Pyrex. I have one but it is okay could be much better! I just might have to fill out your form. I have tons of Pyrex.
ReplyDeleteI love me some Pyrex! I'd love if this book became a reality!
ReplyDeleteHow great! I will most definitly submit :) love that you are following your passion! As a doctoral student my work is pretty daunting... But I always make time for pyrex :)
ReplyDeleteOh how exciting!
ReplyDeleteI would love to see a book that lists out the patterns & ALL of the pieces that each pattern is available in. I too have a Pyrex book already, but it's more about pricing & what not. In all honesty, I'm not all that concerned with that. I'd just like to see, almost like an Encyclopedia of Pyrex! Would be fantastic. And pictures of pretty collections is always fun :)
ReplyDeleteActually, there's another book in the works that's going to be exactly that, trailmixdiaries! http://www.pyrexpassion.com/
