For Trade!

So the living room/ dining room redo is almost over and now it is time to re-evaluate the massive stock pile of glass ware (I.E. pyrex...) Well most of it is Pyrex! hehe

Here is some of the Pyrex I have to trade so far....

A large 503 bright orange fridgie from the Daisy set. The smaller one is kind of spoken for....for the time being.

A Pink 502 fridgie. The lid has changed....it is now a pre-1950 lid, with just stripes on the sides.

A lovely JAJ english Pyrex fridgie.

A small Woodland casserole with lid.

 A Horizons divided casserole.

A small Frienship casserole sans lid.

A Laurel RW platter

A Red Kettle RW serving platter

I am sure I have more pieces up for trade but I haven't got the time yet to go through the boxes!

Here are some of the pieces I'm looking for:

The very elusive metal chip and dip clip
A 2 1/2 quarts 045 Charcoal Snowflake casserole
A 502 and 503 Gooseberry
2 salad/dessert Flamingo plates (Pyrex dinnerware)

Now if you're interested but you don't have what I'm looking for don't hesitate and write me because you might have a piece that I don't even know I need!

All my pieces have been used but gently some have scratches, but NOTHING has been in the dishwasher and they don't have chips.

My email address is in my profile and drop my blog also I love your visits !

Have a great evening :)

Redemption or Failed Resolution?

A few weeks back I confessed I was trying to exercise pyrex restraint and passed on two yellow gooseberry bowls.  Of course, it didn't take long until I was suffering from leaver's remorse (only heightened by all of the "you did what...?" comments :-).  So since I had to drive back through the same small town on another business trip yesterday, I decided that if they were still there, they'd be coming home with me.

Welcome to your new home, yellow gooseberry!

My Collection

Hi Folks!!

I blogged about my craft space on my crafty blog and showed my beloved Pyrex, displayed on an Ikea Expedit shelving unit.

This is what I have managed to collect since May 2010.

In other news, spring seems to FINALLY be in the air up here in the frozen north...bring on the yard sales for more Pyrex hunting!!

New additions!

I did find some Pyrex goodies that I didn't have during my Maine getaway...Take a look!

I can't help but feel that Pyrex and kitty cats make a fantastic pair!

Her's Boubou with a small crazy daisy casserole 3$ @ Cliff's in Maine.

Bob is glancing at my new Autumn Harvest glass canister also bought from Cliff's in Maine. I was happy to fork 5$ for this because I'd never seen one in the flesh before!

Have a great evening :)

Another Friendship!

Look what Hubs got me last night! Friendship divided dish w/ lid. The lip on the lid has a lil chip on it - other than that, it is in great shape. He told me 'crap, I should have waited til Valentines Day'. I say 'Too late! Once you hand it over, it don't count!' lol ;)

He also picked up this for me to list on my etsy shop (AmysVintageStuff). The issue here - the lids are DBD, the pattern looks nice doesn't it? But this is the underside of the lid - if you look at the top side, the pattern is all washed out (still there, but white). The casseroles look to be in great shape.

Tuesday Treasures

2 wonderful finds today.

I got this nice looking Anchor Hocking, 8c measuring cup for $4 and this beautiful, olive green, 2 1/2QT Pyrex roasting pan $2.

Went to GW after and found the same measuring cup in worse shape for $6, I laughed and walked away.

You can see other treasures along with randomness @ http://starvnrtist.blogspot.com

Happy Junking!

Promotional Rooster Black Casserole

Hi Everyone, it's SixBalloons here! I scored a great $3 find yesterday at my local church thrift store:

The pattern was in perfect condition. There was no fading nor colour loss on the nice roosters and sunflowers. Not bad for a piece from 1958!

For more photos and rambling about this piece, feel free to stop by and say hello at my full post here!

Matching Sheet

You might ask what has a bed sheet in common with Pyrex. I didn't know either until last night!

I found this sheet in a thrift store. The color combination reminded me of a Pyrex pattern...
So I went in the basement to get my bowl....

Freaky no? Which one was first? The sheet or the bowl? It's the chicken vs egg thing all over again!

1958 pyrex find

welcome, dear pyrex lover. we all know why you're here, so i'll just jump into the good stuff and save my introduction for the bottom of the post...

here you go:

pyrex spring promotion 1958 decorator with lid

ahhh :-)

why yes, that's a lid! i think the only thing missing is the cradle. purchased at the obscenely low price of $2.99.

all i know about it is that it's a 1958 spring promotion - vaguely named "decorator"...

such great, bold images on a buttery soft yellow background.

anyone know more about this?

wait! don't go! my introduction...
my name is ana, and i have a blog over at i made it so. don't worry, i don't inundate you with glitter and glue crafts. i try to fill my little space online with things i make, bake (served on pyrex), vintage thrifty finds (mostly pyrex), and lots of photos (of pyrex. and other stuff i s'pose).

if you can pop by, that'd be cool... stick around, i'll be sharing a post over there in a few days which will be very much pyrex heavy. not teasing, just warning sharing.

thanks erin, for the chance to share here, and to everyone else who loves pyrex as much as i do. you know. you all make me feel more... normal ;-)
