Pyrex in Action: Macaroni & Cheese

Hi Pyrex friends!  I just posted a rather delicious yet simple recipe for macaroni and cheese over on my blog and thought I would share since I, of course, used Pyrex to contain all of the wonderful, noodley goodness.
As if you really needed another reason to use your Pyrex...

Bon appetit!

Practically Perfect In Every Way

People often ask me why I have so much Pyrex.

Or if I actually use all of it.

I would just like to point out nine individual pieces of perfectly pretty Pyrex in use just in these three photographs.
Take that, naysayers!

If you're interested in exactly what I was doing with all those lemons in Pyrex, you can read about it on my blog, The Victory Garden: Yarn and Curiosities!

The Many Uses...

Hi Pyrex friends!  It's Anna popping over from Victory Garden Yarn!  I asked you all in my last post here at the Pyrex Collective how you like to use your Pyrex other than for baking and staring at in your pretty displays.  I thought I would share my latest use:

Atomic Christmas Setup
Kitschy Christmas craft fair display!  When peddling handmade, kitsch-inspired Christmas ornaments, one is practically required to pull out their holiday hued Pyrex and show it off, right?!

Snowflake Pyrex in the Booth
Since my little 'Atomic Christmas Ornaments' were inspired by the classic colors of a 1950's Christmas, it is only appropriate that classic Christmas Pyrex be a part of the display.

Rainbow Kerchiefs and Ornaments
If you look very closely you can also see my new favorite use for a small fridgie: business card holder, brilliant!

Those of use who have hefty collections of Pyrex must come up with new and ingenious ways of using our Pyrex...that way we can justify having it all when asked, 'But, don't you have enough yet?'

I baked in Pyrex!

I did it. I did it. I cooked in Pyrex. It felt AMAZING!

Thanksgiving meal was all about the Pyrex at the buffet table.
Seeing how my dishwasher broke 3 months ago and I have been washing (everything) by hand. I said, I'm going for it. I did. It felt liberating. Why did I wait so long to use my Pyrex? Anyone else get bold over the Holiday?

Ps. They washed up nice and clean. No problems. Just soaked them in hot soapy water.
Do I dare say I had fun washing dishes? Yes. Yes I did.

Fall

Hello October!, originally uploaded by jenib320.
I am finding that as the days get cooler and the leaves start to change I'm really drawn to my orange pieces! Most especially the orange Friendship pieces! I love to use pieces that coordinate with the seasons.

Lately I have been using my fridge dishes for all kinds of things that aren't food related. The 501s are just so handy for storing little things. They're moving up the list of my favorite sizes! :)

Hello Everyone!

I have finally gotten into a rhythm with school, so I will hopefully be able to be a little more active in this space! I don't know how thrifting has been for you all but it has been really slow around here! I haven't found a single piece of Pyrex in almost a month! I'm going out tomorrow morning, hopefully that will change! :)

I haven't been finding any Pyrex but I have been using it! I do love using my Pyrex, it's just so pretty! Here are a few things I've been using it for:

Pumpkin Waffles!, originally uploaded by jenib320.
Whipped up my very favorite Pumpkin Waffles using some homemade pumpkin puree. They are like pumpkin pie waffles, so delicious!

Popcorn, originally uploaded by jenib320.
Pyrex is always used for Homemade Microwave Popcorn around here!

Pumpkin Seeds, originally uploaded by jenib320.
I love making one of my all time favorite foods, Roasted Pumpkin Seeds!

Homemade Strawberry Freezer Jam, originally uploaded by jenib320.
It was time for another batch of Homemade Strawberry Freezer Jam! :)

Sewing Corner, originally uploaded by jenib320.
When all else fails, I love to use my Pyrex in my sewing area! It's perfect for holding little notions!

How are you all using your Pyrex?
