Addictions......

Since I don't have friends that feed my Pyrex addiction like Amy C. does, I have to feed it myself!! And boy, do I feed it!! Too much so most of the time! Anyway, this is what I fed my addiction with this past weekend thrifting and antiquing.

Aqua Snowflake Casserole

Pink Desert Dawn Baking Dish

Yellow & Black 442 Gooseberry

Kim Chee Promo casserole

Pyrex Meat platter

Woodland mugs

Even though I already have this, I couldn't resist it at a price of $2.50!!

Pressed Flowers

So, all in all, I think my addiction was fed rather well this past weekend. Hope yours was too!! :)

Xmas with Pyrex...

Xmas with Pyrex was a lot more low key than last year...

Last year was a retro appetizer supper complete with cocktail weiners wrapped in bacon...

Maple Tarlets in Pink Daisy...

Tangerines in a big momma Delphite bowl (Pyrex of course)

It's not that I don't LOVE Pyrex anymore but different year, different meal (and Pyrex)...

Cheese fondue appetizer, vintage tablecloth and Pyrex serving bowls.

Bread dressing in Turquoise Snowflake

Fruit Squares in Charcoal Snowflake

Ok maybe I didn't use tons of Pyrex in my Xmas meal...But I sure use it all the time :)

Happy Pyrex New Year!

I'm not entirely sure what the proper protocol is on wishing *Happy New Year* to your friends (I think it's safe until MLK day?!) but, HAPPY NEW YEAR from Leah @ Storybook Ranch!!

I just wanted to share a couple of photos from our New Years spread, where we used the heck out of our Pyrex. A while ago, I made a promise before the Pyrex Gods that I would only keep pyrex with the color BLUE. It sure makes things easier for me.

The clear, lidded pyrex dishes are perfect for keeping dips chilled and for storing left overs, as well as for serving.
No transferring from serving dish to storage needed!

Here we used a Blue Amish Butterprint Bowl to hold shrimps and white butterprint casseroles to hold the chips.

In addition to Butterprint, we also used a Snowflake Divided snack dish  (sushi)
and a oblong casserole to hold our dipping breads.

Bring your Pyrex to work day!

cookies waiting patiently for their visit to Mommy's office

Well, it wasn't really bring your Pyrex to work day, but could you imagine that?? Desks adorned with colourful Pyrex would certainly pretty up any office and improve workplace morale in my opinion! I most certainly enjoyed seeing this dish on my own desk all day yesterday. Is it wrong that I left it on my desk all day AGAIN today...empty?

Does anyone else gawk at their own Pyrex and get all happy inside, even months after you bought it? This piece was one found in my all time greatest Pyrex day ever and this is the first time I've actually 'used' it (unless you count the gawking of course).

Here's a pic of what was in it...soft gingerbread sandwiches with Oreo cookie filling.

Wishing you all a happy holiday season with lotsa goodies in your Pyrex!
