Last weekend GW finds

** Warning ** this is a picture heavy post! Last weekend when hubby and I were out running errands around town I cajoled him into stopping at a Goodwill that I rarely frequent because it's so far out of my way normally. Anyway, looky what I found. I know the clear bottom Pyrex bowls aren't as old or vintage as most, but I couldn't resist. I already had the dark blue one, and I think the red and yellow go great with it. Not sure if they came in sets or what. Maybe someone can answer that question.

I also found this Spring Daisy platter.

And, I almost didn't give this a second thought, but bowls are bowls and I never can resist looking on the bottom to see if they are Pyrex even if they aren't all that pretty and colorful.

I know, kind of blah and boring, but look..........

It's from England, and I just couldn't pass it up!! So, what do you think? Should I have left the bright colored bowls and England Pyrex at GW? Or, did I do good?? :)

And don't you always wonder how in the heck the Pyrex Englad pieces have made it into our neck of the woods?

  4. I understand that there are black ones too although I've never seen them out thrifting. I also have a small pinkish color one, and beige one with the clear bottoms that I snatched up quite a while ago. I'll see if I have those pictures.

  7. We got a set of those for a wedding present almost 23 years ago. Brand new in the box. It had a blue, red, green and yellow bowl in the set. We use them almost every day and they are still in great shape! Gotta love Pyrex!!!
