New Year Surprise

When my son was at my house on Christmas Day looking at all my Pyrex, he pointed out to me that I only needed the large yellow bowl to complete the primary colors set. I really didn't realize I had the beginning of a set until he pulled it all down. Well, lo and behold, the Sunday after New Year's Day he called and said he was stopping by, that he had something for me!! :)

So now my set is complete, and I have him to thank for it!! He's such a good boy!! LOL

He also brought me a pink Gooseberry!! So that makes 2, well actually 3 pieces (counting a pink Pyrex pie plate that I have), of Pink Pyrex!


Sorry about the picture quality, one looks really pink and the other, not so much. Guess I'll never be a professional photographer!
And, as a joke, he bought me this....actually he said he felt sorry for it, and the guy only wanted $1.00 so he got it!

What a sad bowl, but now it's in a home where it will be loved!! :)

    You raised his RIGHT!!! LOL. That last bowl will be well loved in a Pyrex lover's home. I found one at a thrift yesterday that was completly white with the exception of what looked like a little red around the "lip"...I had it in my hand and then put it back. I feel kinda bad leaving it behind.

    Sherry: yeah, I think he's a closet pyreximaniac!!! LOL.....Actually, he's an avid collector of bottles, jars, etc. and lots of other antique things! And because he is a collector, he appreciates my love of Pyrex and understands it!! He's got all his friends and co-workers looking for Pyrex for his "mama," lol...

    KobysCache: yes, I have seen the M & M's commercial with the yellow bowl!! Like so many others, I am always Pyrex "spotting" when I watch TV...:)
