For Trade!

So the living room/ dining room redo is almost over and now it is time to re-evaluate the massive stock pile of glass ware (I.E. pyrex...) Well most of it is Pyrex! hehe

Here is some of the Pyrex I have to trade so far....

A large 503 bright orange fridgie from the Daisy set. The smaller one is kind of spoken for....for the time being.

A Pink 502 fridgie. The lid has changed....it is now a pre-1950 lid, with just stripes on the sides.

A lovely JAJ english Pyrex fridgie.

A small Woodland casserole with lid.

 A Horizons divided casserole.

A small Frienship casserole sans lid.

A Laurel RW platter

A Red Kettle RW serving platter

I am sure I have more pieces up for trade but I haven't got the time yet to go through the boxes!

Here are some of the pieces I'm looking for:

The very elusive metal chip and dip clip
A 2 1/2 quarts 045 Charcoal Snowflake casserole
A 502 and 503 Gooseberry
2 salad/dessert Flamingo plates (Pyrex dinnerware)

Now if you're interested but you don't have what I'm looking for don't hesitate and write me because you might have a piece that I don't even know I need!

All my pieces have been used but gently some have scratches, but NOTHING has been in the dishwasher and they don't have chips.

My email address is in my profile and drop my blog also I love your visits !

Have a great evening :)

Juicy!

My two favorite colors are aqua and orange and I love this sweet little fridgie against this backdrop.

After I took this picture I sent it to my friend, she sent me one back of a red fridgie on her desk filled with M&M's!

I use most of my fridgies to hold my candy stash and I have one that holds salt for cooking on the stove. What do your fridgies hold?

99¢ Pyrex!

99¢ Pyrex!

If only we were all so lucky all the time. Red is showing some previous loving, but nothing too harsh. I think Mr. Clean's Magic Eraser might do some magic on it. Found at Goodwill, 50% off day, regular $1.99. Found Blue at Value Village in Windsor, Ontario over the weekend priced at 99
¢. Can't pass up a fridgie right now, lid or not.

Now you're going to have to deal with my mediocre photo. I wish I had a fantastic camera like some of you who take great photos have! What do you use!? I also don't have many places to take photos unfortunately.

Fantastic Fridgie!

Had yet to find a fridgie in my adventures until today, that's over a year since I've been looking for & collecting Pyrex. I went to about 8 different thrifts outside the downtown core today & to my surprise came across 5 fridgies! I only purchased 2. You'll find a picture of my new favourite Pyrex piece. It only cost me $2.99. The other fridgies were not in purchasable condition, terribly faded red, cracked, topless blue (twice!). I'll post my other Pyrex purchases this weekend!

I also came here to ask my American collectors a favour. As you may or may not know, if you do know me or not, I am a Canadian, which leaves me in a sorry situation on eBay sometimes. There are a couple sets of New Kids On The Block stickers I'd like to purchase, yet the sellers don't ship to Canada (you can't even contact them if they don't have your country in your shipping options anymore) & the ones on ebay.ca are outrageously overpriced. If anybody is willing to help, please send me a note. I'd really appreciate it. I'll send you the money via Paypal in advance.

Yours truly,

Sir Thrift-A-Lot

A home for my junks

I posted this on my regular blog and my thrifting blog but I had to share it here too as all the pieces are one I've documented here.

This was the first project I tackled in my new apartment (I just moved from Seattle to Los Angeles). Luckily all my Pyrex survived the move and have a new happy home.

Orange and Yellow

I just did a major move from Seattle to Los Angeles. Boy I'm going to miss those Seattle thrift stores, They are such goldmines!

On my last thrift run I found some really awesome pieces.

I picked up these two fridgies for $5 each and the casserole for $6.

I found this lidless guy for $4.

Such great deals, I'll miss Sea-Town!
We shall see what LA brings...

Pyrex Fridgies!

Hello Pyrex Collective, it's SixBalloons here! I hope everyone is getting into the Christmas spirit and avoiding conflicts in mall parking lots...

I just wanted to share some cute refrigerator dishes that I found recently. The cute small round casserole dish with lid is my first pink piece, and I was really surprised to find the red fridgie in such great condition. I also really love the blue loaf pan's size and colour, so I was happy to stumble upon this "duplicate" for my collection.

I'm looking forward to having some time off next week... Merry Christmas to you all if I don't have anything else to share before then!

Check another off the list.

One more aqua piece has landed in my grubby hands. I got this for a deal on ebay and it was insanely well packaged. The lid has a lot of caked on debris which I have been going at with toothpicks (it really works).

My goal next is the tiny fridgies, the loaf pan/fridgie, the cinderella bowl, the round cake pan and the pie pan...phew...that's it for aqua isn't it?

I'm moving soon and I can't wait to display all this in my new kitchen!

Tuesday Finds

Took Sprout junking before taking him to school today. Here are our finds.

I finally found a milk white w/ pattern butter dish, I plan on listing it in my etsy shop because I already have a clear one that I rather like (AmysVintageStuff.etsy.com)

The fridge dishes are DBD, but I like the look and I don't have to worry so much with being careful with those.

AND finally the Beautiful Balloon chip bowl 404. Pretty, huh? I thought so too until I got to the register and turned it over --- the smaller handle looked to have a minor chip on it, turn it over and :(
I have a couple girlfriends that are just starting to collect, so this would be a nice piece to show or even use until they find one in better condition.
