Lil Bub lubs Pyrex!

The most popular cat on the internet right now, Lil Bub, apparently loves Pyrex! This blue butterprint bowl appears in the background of a couple of Lil Bub's Friday Zone videos!

Homestead pattern

I bought these babies at one of the many Goodwills in my city!

Fabulous Fridgies

Hey PC1ers! It's SixBalloons here!

I picked up a new fridgie and reunited it with a spare lid I had at home.

It's actually a doubled up piece now but I use them all the time so I justified paying almost eight bucks for it!

Love the fridgies but still pining after a Heinz teal baker whic I have never seen in real life... =)

Who is the maker of these bowls?

I saw these bowls today at Value Village, nothing I would add to my collection, but I was curious to find out who made them. Anybody know? I was guessing Glasbake. I once saw a set of Glasbake nesting bowls that look quite similar to Pyrex ones, with similar paint as these in the picture. Photo credit goes to my boyfriend. Next time I'll have to supervise.

They are deeper & more narrow than a set of Cinderella bowls, but have the same handle & spoutage as them.

The Pyrex Drug Connection

Over on Pyrex Collective III last month, Christina highlighted a strange fashion trend involving the word Pyrex. It turns out that Pyrex has become a popular slang term because the tempered glass can be used to cook crack cocaine. You might've already noticed that if you browse #pyrex on Instagram, it's a mix of pretty vintage housewares and drug paraphernalia. So I made a Storify explaining it: Pyrex: Collectible Vintage Housewares or Crack Cocaine Tool?

The more you know!

Holiday Promotional Casserole

1961, right? Always thought that it was 1961, then when I was Googling about it after finding it (always do it, no matter what I find), Pyrex Love lists it as 1960, but the main URL of the page still says 1961. Just want to confirm the date, since maybe Pyrex Love knows something I don't & updated the info, but not the URL.

I have Pyrex!

It has been such a long time since I have posted some new finds. Pyrex seem to have dried up in my city and what little I do find, they are overpriced and destroyed!

On Sunday, I headed off to the Tresaure Island Flea Market with no real mission. I just hadn't been there in a few months. I found a few sellers with Pyrex and I broke a few of my pricing rules with two but I blame on not having seen any for months and not having come across these shapes/patterns.

The gold leaf/acorns one is so pretty and I have never seen it in person! I did a happy dance at the booth towards it.

I'm hoping 2013 brings me more Pyrex. My boyfriend is hoping for another drought.

The seller who sold me the Old Orchard had these two as well. I cried. He was asking for a lot more with these two then the one he sold me.

The drought is over!

Hahaha... My boyfriend is not happy but I am! I was hanging out on Mission Street (San Francisco, CA) and found a new vintage consignment store. Oh my god all the amazing things they had! I was drooling and then I saw the prices. I had an attack. I did find a set of 3 Pyrex bowls with lids. I can't recall the pattern and they were asking 70 bucks for it. My heart sank and I decided to walk the block and go to Goodwill. I am so glad I did!!!

Excuse my kitchen table. My boyfriend is making me take inventory! I found this loaf dish for $2.49. It is still kinda grimy but I am working on fixing it up.

I have never seen this pattern before but guess what! My boyfriend has. His mother owned them and he stole her set when he moved out. He said it's in storage and the sugar cup did come with a lid but for some reason, his set yellowed very badly. I believe this pattern is called Morning Blue. I snagged them for 2.99 each.

And I found a lid! I keep finding them everywhere for either 99-1.99 but I never pick them up but for some reason, I was nagging myself too and I am so glad I did because it fit on...

This Cinderella divided serving dish I found last year! I think I shall pick up the lids as I see them from now on!

I have never seen these cups before and they had four of them. They were scattered around housewares and all priced differently. The lady was nice enough to charge me the lowest price tagged x4!  This is one of my favorite patterns!

I was so excited to find these and knowing my luck, I won't find anymore for a while but that's ok.
