Latest Thrifted Pyrex Pieces

Its been a long, long time since I have come across any Pyrex at the thrift stores.  I was getting desperate after not even seeing an abused and chipped piece.  I felt so relieved when I finally found a few pieces, I snapped them up and felt good again!  This Pyrex Passion does crazy things to a girl.

So what did I find?

Top: JAJ Atomic Barcode
Middle: Australian Agee, unknown pattern (gold and brown leaves of some sort)
Bottom: JAJ Briarwood

This next piece I saw and ummed and ahhed over and almost bought too, but it had a huge chip in it on the side.  I really regret leaving it behind now.

JAJ Indiana

After this dry spell, I hope I don't have to wait another 6 months for the next find!!

Happy Pyrex-ing :)

Two New-To-Me Patterns

Pyrex has been very hard to come by in my neck of the woods lately, but i got a bit excited when I saw these two Australian Agee Pyrex divided dishes today at the thrift shop.

Photobucket
(sorry - cant seem to turn the picture around!)

I didn't buy them -  I've already got a divided dish that I don't use!  But I did love the pattern of the first one.

Vintage Bowls

Today I came across some Pyrex finds including these two 8 sided bowls.

I was so excited about this find, that I haven't cleaned them up yet!  I wanted to show you all as soon as I could.  Have you seen these bowls before?  I've tried to google them, but am unable to find anything similar.

They will come in handy on Christmas Day when hubby and I sit down and have a bowl of raspberries and cream.  Merry Pyrex-mas!

Pyrex Inspired Halloween Decorations

Hi Pyrex lovers!  I have just come across the most amazing Halloween decoration inspired by Pyrex and just had to share with you all.  Graphic designer Shelly McGown was looking for inspiration for something different for her pumpkin this year and was inspired by her favourite Pyrex dish pattern - Butterprint.

Isn't it just gorgeous!!

Read Shelly's Guest Post on OnePlusOneDesign blog.  (Picture found via Pintrest).

Happy Halloween :)

Latest Finds

Hello fellow Pyrex-maniacs!  I recently came across two new-to-me pyrex finds to add to my growing collection.  The Woodland 2.5l casserole dish I brought a few weekends ago at the local markets here in Cairns, which I paid a little too much for, but I really needed a casserole dish this size.  The little green Gooseberry dish I scored yesterday at the op-shop for $1.  It will come in handy and is the same size as my lime green Spring Blossom.  Both were found with no lids, but they are easy enough to come by.

Have a wonderful pyrex filled week :)

Thursday Treasure

Hello fellow pyrex-maniacs!  Imagine my excitement when I caught a glimpse of the red and orange peeking through the shelves of my local op-shop.  My brain clicked and I recognised it straight away...

My very first 'friendship' piece!  I was so excited to come across this little friendly dish and am still smiling about it!  Love it when that happens.

My Two New Pieces

Finally, after what seems like years (ok, so maybe only a few months!), I came across two new thrifted Pyrex pieces for my slow growing collection.

The smaller one is the #474b, which is listed on Pyrex Files as an unknown pattern, and the circle  dish I can't seem to find any information for.  On the bottom it has the circle with 10 PYREX (TM) OVENWARE.

Hope you're all having a great Pyrex hunting day!

Bargain Pyrex Find

Hello fellow pyrex-maniacs! My name is Elizabeth from iheartsunnydays.
I've been following this wonderful blog and have been a member for quite some time, and am now posting my very first post here. I've been collecting Pyrex for a few years now, but being from a small town, it is getting harder and harder to come across pieces for my collection. It is probably about once every few months that I find pyrex, but most of the time they are faded, stained or chipped. But when I do find something I get super excited and do a little dance! Yesterday I had some luck and found this pretty Chelsea JAJ 21cm casserole dish - and only spent $1.

The only thing better than pyrex is bargain priced pyrex!!!
