I picked up a beautiful piece at the Salvation Army over the weekend. It was $3.99 and in great shape.
The food and brown bits came right off with a Magic Eraser and Barkeeper's Friend.
Then I used it for dinner, can you guess what this became?
Hell Yes! Classic Tuna Noodle casserole!
I have to say, and my husband agreed, it was the best tuna casserole either of us had ever had...the magic of pyrex?
It was totally gone by 11pm that night.
Love the color on this dish and perfect for the classic tuna noodle casserole! Now I'm hungry!!
ReplyDeleteI love the dish! Congrats on your find ~ I wish I found Pyrex like that at my Salvation Army. Heck, I'd be happy to find it at the local antique mall.
ReplyDeleteI'm hungry now too, but alas dinner will be late tonight and from a restaurant (my boys have a ball game and I haven't had a working refrigerator since Sunday).
Pretty and practical all at once. So nice seeing Pyrex being used and enjoyed. Great pics.

you've inspired me to try my hand at the 'ol tuna noodle. in pyrex, of course.
ReplyDeleteI found this same piece today w/ lid $4.99 a bit much (I swear GW is catching on, cause this was high and I also got a roast pan w/ lid 045 and it was $6.99) Oy!
ReplyDeleteGreat find!
