I'm at it again!
I've added another piece to my collection of promotional pieces! Promotional pieces are my favorite to collect. There may not be a series of them like you would find with Butterprint or Spring Blossom, but I like that they are unique, and were only available for a limited time.
My newest promotional find is this 1 1/2 quart Regency casserole. The Regency promotional pattern dates to Fall 1965. It's another find off of the big auction site. $3.99 plus shipping. I was pleased. Also, I think that with it's brown paint with the caramel color print, it looks pretty good with my vintage sofa!
Does anybody else collect the promotional peices? I'd love to see more! Happy hunting!

Michael I have a few promotional pieces but I don't look for them! I think this piece is really nice! Good addition to the collection.
ReplyDeleteok, so I pick up Pyrex pieces everywhere but had no clue to investigate whether they are promotional or not. I'll have to do my homework! Love the caramel in this piece! -diane
ReplyDeleteMichael, you have put my feelings to post! Being new to pyrex collecting, I just liked everything to begin with and now I am leaning towards the promotional items because they are unique and you don't need to complete sets, generally. I also love it when people post prices because I like to see good deals too! Am looking forward to more of your finds.
ReplyDeleteIs it just me, or does the pattern work with the chair? You've got it going on, either way. May 2011 bring you all the Pyrex your heart desires.
