This week my mom and I decided to pay a visit to some of our favourite Antique Markets. I haven't been since the summer months, so there was so much to take in. Aisles and aisles of Pyrex, oh my!
I did come away with some goodies, though I left wishing they would split up that black/white Gooseberry cinderella bowl set. I'm missing the #441.
Some new dots, golden tulip, friendship, mod kitchen, and golden poinsettias, and a fun day to top it off!
Oh my word I have never seen so much pyrex!!! We just don't see that here in Michigan. Love all your new treasures!!!
ReplyDeleteWow, what a great haul! I'm salivating, lol!! I love, love them, and I'm very, very jealous!!
ReplyDeleteis there really a pyrex spice rack thingy? if so, I WANT!
ReplyDeleteWow...what a great find! I would love to have the red bowls in your second photo! I'm going to make a trip to our antique store pretty soon and see what I can find. You've inspired me to get my Pyrex back out...I put it away to make room for new dishes...and go looking for more!
ReplyDeletei am drooling over all of this - i would have a cardiac arrest with all that beautiful pyrex in front of me!!! how are the prices at the place you shopped????
ReplyDeleteI've never seen so much pyrex in one place! Kitchenalia heaven! My mum phoned just as I was reading your post - she's just picked up some Snowflake plates for me. Over here we tend to get lots of single pieces in the charity shops, so I was over the moon finding my 2/3 of a trio of mixing bowls - the yellow and orange ones. Alas the red one was missing, so keeing my eye out for that. Best find has to be my set of 6 pastel ramekins. Had seen them for about £70 on eBay, but then found all 6 for £2 at a market! Sorry to hog your comments - that should have been a post, with pics!
ReplyDeleteThank you for all the nice comments!
ReplyDeleteAmyC - unfortunately the spice rack isn't Pyrex. It's still really neat though!
The prices were really hit and miss. In the places I went there are 100+ booths owned by different vendors so the prices tend to vary from booth to booth. Some are decent (from $5-$20 per piece) while some are extremely high, like $120 for a set of verde fridgies, or $115 for a set of Primary bowls. Most of the pieces I got were under $10. I splurged on the new dots bowl for $18 and the poinsettia for $20.
You should post it trashsparkle, just so we can see :) That is a wonderful find! Here we get single pieces in charity shops as well, but once in a while I'll make a trip out to the antique malls and splurge a little. The charity shops have much better prices! I tend to stay away from ebay because being in Canada, shipping tends to run around $30 per piece. Eek!
