A Few Trickles of Rain in the Pyrex Drought

I don't know what's been going on at the thrifts lately, but the Pyrex finds are few and far between (actually, I suspect that all the good pieces are being sent to the online goodwill auctions, where the prices go sky high).  Fortunately, the few pieces that I have found over the past month are ones that I not only don't have, but are fairly uncommon as well.  I guess, in the long-run, the drought will be a blessing to my bank account (and my full cupboards).

  4. Thanks all. Tanya, the embroidery pattern is more common on the turquoise cinderella bowl (although the bowl itself is still rare and I'm *still* searching for one myself). Here's a photo on pyrex love http://www.pyrexlove.com/turquoise-balloons-embroidery-pyrex/glassware/

  5. Seriously. Pyrex drought here in thrift stores too. I think it's all being posted online for bidding too, which is annoying. As it is, I got dirty glares from a cashier today for 1.99 double boiler insert with a lid that didn't match. My cashier let me pay that for it while the other started lecturing her and staring at me suspiciously. It was extremely uncomfortable. If I hadn't wanted it, I would have said forget it and left.

  7. I have the Embroidery space saver. It comes on a stand. I was lucky enough to find it with the stand. The scroll is on my wish list. The Desert Dawn is really pretty. Good finds!
