Look what I found!

This past wednesday I found this at my local fave church basement....

A Corning stove top percolator with all the insides....Cool! It's stamped Corning but we all know it's really Pyrex. Potato, potatoe. Same difference!

I can't wait to try it, but I have to buy coarser ground coffee for it otherwise I'll be stuck with mud. Cup O' mud anyone?

  1. That's a great find! I love to collect these too, I have a couple, but no insides! You'll have to tell us how the coffee turns out after you get the course grinds =)

  2. Yeah, that's a nice find! I have a Pyrex clear tea pot, but no percolators. I never see them here in my town. I'd be interested to know how the coffee tastes too!

  3. Gasp! Corning recalled these pots because they are very dangerous. The handles tend to come apart and break. Please, please, just keep it as a collectible!

  4. Whoops! I take it all back. It was their electric percolators and not the clear glass pots. I found this:

So sorry! (hanging head in shame)

  6. It harkens to a time when people sat around smoking menthol cigarettes and played Bridge. Maybe a key party too? LOL
