I think I'm pretty lucky to have this piece of Homestead Pyrex - in the original box.  My daughter called me from the Salavation Army, should she get this - I think I said "yes" right away.  It's a huge casserole, 4 litre, as you can see, I placed it above my cupboards - a nice spot for it!!  Oh, yes, the price was $6.99
I've been away so I got to a couple of different places - I paid $10 for this sweet Pyrex cookie jar, but I've never seen one before and I just had to have it!!!

It seems I am getting hooked on carafes lately, I found this one at Value Village for $2.99 - they are also going to look nice above the cupboards
It was my lucky day - I found this Snowflake divided dish on another shelf at Value Village - price - $3.99.  I just received an order of candle tarts in the mail today - so I popped them right in this dish.  Pretty!!

  1. I've been sent on a mission to find a snowflake rectangular dish by my father. My grandmother used to own one and he just has to have it!

    Great finds, Jill!

Btw, I'm very tempted to use my flameware on the stove!

  3. I love that big Homestead bowl!! I just found a Pyrex cookie jar a couple of weeks ago, and I was tickled to death. Now, I'm looking for the Cracker Barrel. Nice snowflake dish too!

  4. Question gals.....I've had pyrex forever as my grandmother had pyrex forever and I inherited hers and I love it...love it love it love it. I have sets to complete and lids to find...but, anyway, here is my question. Looking at all the pyrex on the page I noticed the cookie jar and the coffee pot/tea pot. I had no idea pyrex made cookie jars and such. How do you know it's pyrex?? Do you just know from experience or is there a trick to knowing what is pyrex and what is not???

  5. Both of these items have Pyrex written on them. If you want to brush up on all things Pyrex, you should get a copy of "Pyrex - The Unauthorized Collector's Guide" by Barbara E. Mauzy - it's the greatest book!!
