I found three great things at my local thrift today!
A Butterprint set missing just one bowlA pristine blue divided dish (sadly missing the lid) and a small brown casserole. I don't usually like the brown Pyrex, but I like these white flowers alot (maybe one of you can tell me what pattern it is)!
i would cut off my pinkie for the butterprint 404 (okay maybe not that drastic but it is the ONLY bowl i need to complete both mixing bowl sets) the brown pattern is woodland. and at first i didn't like it, but seeing a few of them together on display makes me love them more.
I came across a butterprint 404 recently but passed on it. Someone had written the price on it in PERMANENT INK!!! I questioned the seller who said it would wash right off but I didn't want to take the chance. Does anyone know, is this true, can you just wash it off?
I bought an old Homer Laughlin gravy boat that had the price written on it. When I cleaned it, the price came off but had ghosted into the finish. I put a thick layer of 'Soft Scrub with Bleach' on the spot and let it sit for a few hours and it finally bleached out. You can't see it at all now.
Really nice finds!! Wow, almost a complete set of the Butterprint mixing bowls!! At first I didn't like the Woodland pattern either, but it's grown on me over time.
LOVE your Butterprints. That is the one pattern I seem to never come accross. You could say it's the elusive Butterprint up here in Alberta. Have NEVER seen it in real life.
