A Mystery Pyrex Tile

I'm not quite sure the 'what' or 'why' of this little ceramic tile, but I found it in a small town thrift store that I dragged my poor co-worker to while on a 10 hour road trip for work.

Bottom line, it said Pyrex on it and was 25 cents...that's good enough for me (yet I still wonder what the 42 means).  I did leave behind some yellow/black gooseberry cinderella bowls and a flamingo square baker - it was week one of my new resolution to exercise Pyrex restraint!

  1. YOU LEFT BEHIND YELLOW GOOSEBERRY!?! Wow. That is some serious restraint, bravo for you! I, obviously, would have had a full freak out and cradled it home. ;)

  3. I know (sniff)! And it wasn't all that expensive either. But considering I have a random array of probably 15 cinderella bowls, with no particular rhyme or reason, I just couldn't bring myself to do it. I even left behind a friendship divided casserole yesterday (I justified it by discovering a small chip in the lid). My original strategy was to buy stuff with the caveat that I'd try to sell/trade it...but of course I love everything too much so that never happened and now my kitchen is loaded! My poor, very understanding, husband.
