Hello there! My name is Carol and I'm so glad to be part of the collective! Thanks Erin for letting me join the fun.
I've been collecting for a year now and here it is - my pyrex collection to date.
My main obsession is Australian pyrex, otherwise known as agee pyrex, and I'd love to share some of my favourite pieces with you.
This is a set of 6 festive ware square ramekins. They are quite small, and perfect for eating ice cream!
Earlier pieces of agee pyrex were made of clear glass, with a fired-on layer of colour on the outside. I've found a few pieces so far, here are some examples.
Mostly I like to use my pyrex everyday. As many have said before me, everything tastes better in pyrex!

It's always fun to see international Pyrex, and I envy those who actually USE it. I just can't bring myself to do it (but I'm getting closer). Lovely collection!
ReplyDeleteit's SO lovely! i didn't know a thing about australian pyrex. thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteGreat post! Where are you able to find the Austrailian pieces? They are gorgeous! And your display is absolutely lovely!
ReplyDeleteOH WOW! You have a nice collection. I just had cherry pie in my aqua little square dish like your pinks. It was way way tastier in it. INDEED!
ReplyDeleteWow that was interesting about he Agee! Love your collection!!
ReplyDeleteLove those little ramekins, especially. And now I'm hungry!
ReplyDeleteHi! I live in Sydney too and have a couple of Agee pieces, yours are fab! Great collection :-)
ReplyDeletethanks for sharing!! Australian pyrex is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThat's some gorgeous Pyrex! I've never seen anything like those here. A few months ago I did find a small bowl, and on the bottom it's marked Pyrex England. Of course, I scooped it up! I'll have to post it here soon.
ReplyDeleteHello everyone, thank you so much for the lovely comments!
ReplyDeleteVintage Christine, I have to admit that I don't use the older, clear glass with colour pieces - just can't bring myself to do it for fear of damage and breakage!
Alyssa Bee - I live in Australia, so agee is quite common here. I feel lucky cos we seem to have a good mix of U.S, English and Australian made pyrex at the op-shops here!
Thrifted Treasure - it's so great to know there are other Aussie pyrexics out there. Oh, and I have to say I love your blog!
Sharon Lou - I have some English pyrex too! Let's both post :o)
