California Pyrex Dreamin'

Hi there!  This is Anna, resident Yarn Wrangler and thrifter extraordinaire, popping over from Victory Garden Yarn to introduce myself and say hello!

I happen to be on a small sojourn from the cool, calm, and collected Pacific Northwest to the (very) hot and not-too-bothered Central Valley of California.  Upon disembarking my wee plane (into the ninety degree heat, I might continue to add), a large vehicle (with plenty of room for transporting things...such as Pyrex) was waiting for me, complete with familial chauffeur ready to hunt and gather vintage milk glass of a particular persuasion.

What we found was...well, you just have to see it:

Old Town Antiques

And it continued throughout the day. As the heat rose, these two wilty hunters couldn't tell if they were feeling faint due to the excessive heat or the overwhelming displays of Pyrex they encountered...

Rocky Hill Antiques

All of this bounty was not lost on these weary and searching souls.  Oh no, for our brains were suddenly clear and our hands were able to reach for shiny objects.

Central Valley Pyrex
Cradles and fridgies and baking pans and pixies!

OMG NIB!
Perfectly pristine and packaged Pyrex!

We think we may have found Pyrex Heaven...but it's hard to say...as Miss Scarlet would say, tomorrow IS another day...

  13. Sorry I haven't responded, visiting family=searching for internet cafes when I have a moment!

The first insane picture is from what I believe is called 'Old Town Antiques' in Old Town Clovis, CA (I think that's the name...) and the second insane picture is from Rocky Hill Antiques, near Exeter, CA.

Prices weren't TOO bad, although nothing like thrift prices mind you! Both are excellent places to find something you might need to complete a set! Everything was in near-perfect condition. :)
