Here are the other pieces of Pyrex that I found on my recent road trip through Maine. I had been complaining recently that I never saw refridgerator dishes on my hunts so imagine my surprise when I found 2 full sets (in great condition!!). I grabbed the Snowflake Blue and then my boyfriend surprised me by buying the Primary set. He always indulges my love of Pyrex :)
Now, I should slow down on my purchasing because I need to find some shelves to display all my finds, but you know that won't happen! Happy Saturday to you all! :)
You Lucky Girl!! TWO sets of fridgies! You have the best boyfriend!!
ReplyDeleteTalk about a find!
ReplyDeleteI recently bought a yellow fridge dish with lid at an estate sale. Like a lot of sales I've been to, the sellers had written the price on the piece with a sharpie. I didn't think anything about it because, well, it's glass, and I've always been able to get sharpie off the other Pyrex I've bought. But I didn't realize that the fridge dishes are painted (I guess) and so the sharpie won't come off. I've tried nail polish remover, denture cleaner, vinegar, and WD-40. Does anyone have any ideas on anything else I might try? I love this piece and am totally bummed about the big number "4" written on it!
Lucky woman. I think I'll have a heart attack if I ever actually come across a fridgie. It sounds like your boyfriend really understands too. Nice work!

ReplyDeleteI use my fridge dishes all the time. No tupperware or plastic storage in my house. The yellow one works wonders for reheating leftovers! Thanks for sharing your great find!
