Hello. My name is Mimi, and I am a Pyrex-aholic.
I'm sooooo glad I found this group and am thrilled to be a part of the Collective Pyrex Love!
I blog over at 1972: The Retro WW Experiment - and for the past 6 months have been kickin' it old school with the 1972 Weight Watchers program -- Cooking up some scary retro recipes and trying to get back to my happy weight.
In trying to keep with the retro theme of my experiment, I use a lot of Pyrex and listen to a lot of disco music while cooking. It helps me get in the right state of mind. You know what I mean?
Most of my Pyrex has been handed down to me by my mom, who is a chronic collector of everything. I grew up with Pyrex on the table at every meal, and it always makes me smile. I don't have a lot of Pyrex, but every piece I own is special to me. And I truly believe that there is no greater feeling in the world than a fabulous "Pyrex Find" while thrifting.
I do hope you'll stop by my crazy blog sometime, and in the meantime, I will leave you with a photo of one of my most treasured "babies". I do love my fridgies.
I love your fridgie with the cat on it. I know the name of this pattern, but it's slipped from my memory. Welcome aboard. I can't wait to check out your blog. I'll link it in the author's blogs section soon.
ReplyDeleteP.S. Can your mom adopt me?
Erin
Welcome Mimi! I might want to be adopted too ~ I grew up with Tupperware on the table at every meal (and to be fair, Corelle). Your fridgie is cute!
ReplyDeleteWelcome! I love my Pyrex and I have the larger size of this fridgie and I love it also!!
ReplyDeleteI just found this blog myself and am loving it!! I'm also addicted to Pyrex and this is a very happy place indeed. Your mom sounds very cool and I am so intrigued by your blog. Heading over there shortly.
