Weekend & last week finds

Happy Monday! I really didn't find any beautiful, must have Pyrex this past weekend or last week like some of you did, but I did find a few a things. Without further ado, here they are:

This makes my second green primary bowl, but the price was cheap and I couldn't resist!

Have any of you ever seen a solid color Corning Ware dish like this? I hadn't until I spotted this at GW......so, of course I bought it. From what I've researched, I don't think that's the original lid. I think the original lid was solid green like the bowl.

Well, that was my little haul for the past week, and weekend. Nothing real fancy or dazzling, but still Pyrex.

I saw dishes that were approx. 1/2 of the depth of your dish. Two of them were at St. John's Thrift and 1 was at Value Viilage (just down the street from St. J's). These 2 stores are located in Toronto. They were the same green colour as your dish, but had opaque lids; same white as the inside of the dishes with a green knob at the top of the lid. Laura

  2. Laura, I saw a couple of pictures online, and that's the type lids I saw on them too. White with green knob. How I wish mine had the original lid!!

  3. That lid is from a sculptured pyrex set that included a bowl, lid, and tray.

  4. I have one of the corning ware dishes. Yep, they have a white cover with a green knob. I'll try to get a picture of it and post it soon if you would like.

  5. That looks like a piece of Centura, possibly the Lynnwood pattern. Centura was dinnerware made by Corning before they made Corelle. There were matching Corning Ware casseroles. There are pictures at http://corellecorner.com/centura-tableware-patterns-1972/149-centura-lynnwood.html

  6. Mal: hmm, I'll have to look up sculptured pyrex. I've never heard of it.

DoubleSparrow - oh yes, please post a picture of yours. I'd love to see it!

    Betty: thanks for the link!
