Py, Oh My!

Don't you just love it when you're junkin' and round the corner to another room, and there it is. Pyrex!

  3. i totally went over and read.

LOVE the photos. SO much good stuff there. WOW. WOW WOW at the price tags. I have seen local antique shops here do this but not that bad. WOW!

I saw some things in there. I never knew existed. This blog is going to make me faint on a daily basis.

  4. Be still, my heart. I could just put my head down on my desk and cry right now. There's my favorite color - the beautiful turquoise. I've been to every thrift shop in town and NO PYREX is to be had anywhere! I did find one original style Corningware 1 & 1/2 qt. stove-top pot to replace the one I recently broke (score!), but it isn't as if I found aqua heaven like this! I also have my mom's Fireking green batter bowl with the handle like the one in the picture, but OMG! Where, oh where is that store??? Sigh. After seeing the prices on those treasures I couldn't buy any of it anyway. I'm dying to get ahold of a fridgie set. I need the loaf pan with the lid for baking Boston Brown Bread which is something I find is necessary to my life. It has to be baked in a container with a lid and is suitiable for sitting in a water bath for two hours. What better fits that description than Pyrex?

Amanda, I love your idea of making the photo into a screensaver! I may just borrow that!

  8. Holy crow that was some display, but I'm with you on the prices. I prefer to pick up my pieces for better prices and what you did find thrifting was amazing.
