Question

Hi again!

I have a question regarding the Pyrex bottom stamps. I saw a mixing bowl at a thrift store that looked identical to a Cinderella gooseberry pattern, white on pink, except the pink seemed a bit dark, and the bottom stamp was a crown. I didn't buy it, but I'm still wondering if it is Pyrex or Fire-King. I couldn't find any info on the web regarding a crown Fire-King bottom stamp or for any other brand for that matter.

Any thoughts? Did Fire-King or any other glass companies make a gooseberry-like pattern? Thanks!

  1. I'm guessing it's a JAJ Pyrex from England. No other company that I know reproduced this pattern!

    Hope that helps

  3. Oh well, perhaps I should go back and get it! (I kinda hid it behind some other stuff, lol! Hopefully, it's still there!)

  4. Hi again, I did google JAJ Pyrex, found a pic of the bottom stamp and that's it! I thought the JAJ was actually an A embedded in an H, for Anchor Hocking. I will definitely go get it.

Thanks for your help! Will post a pic.

  6. Just to clarify - the A inside the H emblem is not Anchor Hocking (which is a common mistake). It actually is the emblem for Hazel Atlas glass.
