Hi, Amy from Denver again. I found these great casserole dishes today marked PYREX ENGLAND on the bottom, but I have no idea what the pattern is called. Anyone know?
Also, wanted to share a photo of the awesome percolator I found yesterday. I love it!
The sun is blinding today so I could barely see the viewfinder on my camera!
Those are really great casseroles! They remind me of simple linen dish towels with the multicolored stripes. I've never come across English Pyrex here in So Cal.
Ooh nice stripes! I would post a photo of them in the PyrexLove Flickr pool, there is a JAJ Pyrex expert (Mackem54/Alan) who actually worked at the Sunderland plant in the UK, I'm sure he would be able to help you!
Great find with the percolator! I'm new to the Pyrex world, and I probably would have passed it by due to lack of knowledge. Another type of Pyrex to keep my eyes open for!
first of all, these are adorable. I've looked around at a few of my favorite vintage sites and I can't find a thing on them. Looks like they are a great find, indeed!
Very nice find: You have two casseroles (minus their lids) from a set of three, Cat. no. 728 117. The pattern name is Spectrum launched circa 1983 and your casseroles were made by Corning Ltd. Sunderland, England.

Nice, I've never seen those stripes before. I really like your percolator with the subtle blue tint.

ReplyDeletewhen they spoke to me in the store, it was to call me a "bloody wanker" for initially passing them by :)
ReplyDeleteThey are gorgeous! Maybe someone from England will start joining us and helping us with these great English Pyrex patterns!
ReplyDeleteThose bowls are amazing! Lucky find!

ReplyDeleteYour Flameware perc is to die for! If you use it on the electric stove be sure to use a metel heat diffuser, or else!
Lucky you! What great finds! I love the bowls, and the especially the percolator. I've never seen one exactly like that.
