Hello everyone! Amanda here from
Tall Glass of Water. I was thrifting at my favorite shop a week ago and saw a couple of pieces of Pyrex that weren't exactly my favorite pattern. I was having
issues as to whether or not I should buy pieces that I don't just
totally love. Well, I went back last Friday and after a week of sitting on the shelf they were still there.
They were meant to be mine :)
I also found a Snowflake Garland frigey dish.
I think the Pyrex gods were rewarding me for saving those Woodlands :)
The Woodlands may grow on you! I know that I love mine now. And I like having bowls that I can use without concern that I might break or scratch them. Nice finds!

The same thing happened to me - saw the Woodland set of 3 in a bargain shop a couple of weeks ago-thought about it all the days in between, went back and it was still there - I got the three bowls for $10 - it's growing on me too - it is a pretty pattern!
ReplyDeleteI don't have any of the Woodland pattern, but I don't think I'd pass it up if I saw some and the price was right. I really like the little snowflake fridgy!!
ReplyDeleteI had the same feeling: do I like them? No? Yes? But then I brought home a couple of round casseroles and I really really like them!
ReplyDeleteyes, the pieces really do talk and have a way of convincing sometimes!
ReplyDeletethe snowflake fridgey is adorable.
You guys are right. It's growing on me! All I need is to find some pink pieces to put next to them. I think pink and brown look great together :)
ReplyDeleteLove that snowflake fridgie. I agree with what's been said, the Woodland does grow on you. And pink and brown do look great together, now that you mention it. I'm looking at my shelf with a pink divided dish and a woodland casserole pretty close to each other, and yep, that works!
ReplyDeleteI'm not feeling that lighter brown color, but I picked up a bake serve store in the dark brown, and I would love to have the large bowl. That pattern says Polynesia to me, perfect for a Hawaiian buffet.
ReplyDeleteWoodland isn't my favorite, but I picked up a 474 this afternoon. I figure if I use my least favorite pieces for storage and baking I can keep my favorites on display.
