I thought you'd get a kick out of this! I bought it at an antique store
several years ago, and have had it hanging in my dining room near
the kitchen cupboard with the Pyrex!
Love the sales price!
Can you believe it was normally only $3.50!!!

Dude! I wish!
ReplyDeleteI love those old posters. How cool you have one in your dining room. Can you imagine finding that set for $2.50 now? That would be a pyrex collector's dream come true!!
ReplyDeleteI just saw this set at an antique store for $65! Talk about inflated prices!!!
ReplyDeleteI love the Mom in her apron, heels and pearls who's so happy to receive it! (Mind you, I would make the same face, but in my jeans, sweatshirt and sneakers, lol!)
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun poster! Yes wouldn't we all love Pyrex at that price!
ReplyDeletewow I love that poster!
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome nostalgic piece! The prices are outta this world!!
ReplyDeleteThe vintage ads make a great kitchen addition - I just bought one on Ebay for 99 cents - it's black and white, from a 1953 Better Homes and Gardens - and the vendor put in an extra ad as well - great deal - love it!
ReplyDeletehah! great post, thanks for sharing this ad. i'd frame it and put it up in my kitchen too. those were the days :P
ReplyDeleteso wait. did the sets used to come in all different colours, or all the same colour per set?
ReplyDeleteThey came in the four colors just like this ad. Newer sets have come in the same colors, but different bowl sizes came in different colors! Hence I have the large (what they show as yellow) I have in red and then I think the medium bowl I have is green!
